Introducing our exquisite Adelaide Oxford shoes, crafted from the finest Bonaudo Dark Brown museum calf leather. These shoes feature the all-new N5 last, designed with a soft chisel toe to enhance the elegant lines while maintaining a non-aggressive appearance. The elevated instep adds both comfort and inclusivity, making these shoes a perfect blend of style and wearability.

The Adelaide Oxford style originated in England during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Named after Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, the Queen consort of King William IV, the shoe is distinguished by its unique U-shaped throat design, which sets it apart from other Oxford styles. Initially crafted for formal and semi-formal wear, the Adelaide Oxford gained popularity among the English gentry and later spread to Europe and America. Its sophisticated silhouette and meticulous craftsmanship made it a favorite among those who appreciate classic elegance and timeless style. Over the years, the Adelaide Oxford has evolved, incorporating modern elements to enhance comfort and fit while retaining its traditional charm and distinctive design.

The Craftsmanship

Handwelted craftsmanship in leather shoe production offers unparalleled durability, flexibility, and comfort due to meticulous hand-stitching techniques, ensuring superior breathability and personalized fit. With an emphasis on quality craftsmanship and ease of repair, handwelted shoes represent a timeless investment in both style and longevity.

Fiddleback Waist

Compared to the flat waist of the RTW collection, the Artisanal line boasts a signature fiddleback waist, which demands a longer crafting time and can only be achieved through meticulous handwork. This exquisitely narrow waistline results in a more elegant and refined silhouette.

Refined Fudging

The neat and clean fudging and outsole stitching are entirely done by hand, with 12 stitches per inch (SPI) ensuring both aesthetic appeal and durability.

Hand-welted

Compared to the Goodyear welted construction, which attaches the welt using a glued-on rib, our skilled craftsmen use needles and thread to stitch the welt to the upper and insole. This method makes the sole more flexible and durable, requiring exceptional manual dexterity and experience.

Hand-Stitched Outsoles

Hand-stitched outsoles allow for greater flexibility compared to machine-stitched alternatives. This flexibility ensures a more natural movement of the foot, leading to increased comfort, especially during prolonged wear.

Closed Channel

Closed-channel outsoles, seamlessly integrated into our Handwelted construction. Meticulously crafted for durability, they elevate both performance and style, ensuring every step is a statement of sophistication.
