Shipping and Returns
At Yearn, each shoe we create is made by hand at our workshop in Chengdu, China. Due to the craftsmanship of this process and the time involved with shipping internationally, every Ready-to-Wear (RTW) shoe order typically takes about 30 days from time of purchase.
Additionally, due to the intensive and detailed nature of our Made-to-Wear (MTO) shoes, you can expect delivery times between 4-6 weeks from time of order. Don’t hesitate to send us an email if you have any questions.
International Shipping and Tax
DHL Express is the default courier for all international orders. After the parcel leaves our workshop, you will be able to track your order via email.
Additionally, any import duties, taxes, and applicable fees are the responsibility of the customer and must be made in accordance with your local laws and regulations. If for any reason you reject the delivery of your shipment after it has been sent or do not pay the tax upon arrival, all applicable return shipping fees, duties, and taxes will be deducted from your refund.
Typically for customers in the US, any orders under $800 do not need to pay tax.
At Yearn, it is our goal to ensure each one of our clients is completely satisfied with their purchase. If for whatever reason you are not 100% pleased, we offer a 14-day return policy for all products in original condition. Please notify us in email at firstname.lastname@example.org for the return request, and we will give you detailed instructions on how to do so. We do not accept any returns without prior notification.
Once the refund has been authorized, you will receive an email confirming it has been processed and the value to be credited back to the original payment method.
Typical payments will be refunded within 72 hours of being processed, but this could take up to 10 business days to show in your account.
PLEASE NOTE: Only RTW shoes are eligible for a return. All MTO orders are customized based on clients’ requirements and all sales considered final, they cannot be returned.
For an item to be eligible for return, it must be shipped back to us in its original condition. This means it must appear unworn and unused without any signs of wear. For this reason, we highly recommend trying your shoes on a carpeted surface to protect the sole and to avoid bending your foot, which can lead to creasing. Although creases are a natural part of life and we rather like the way they look on our own pair of shoes over time, it is not appropriate to return shoes with any signs of creasing or scuff marks on the sole.
Once we have received your return, we will examine the items to assess their condition before issuing a refund. Any products that are not returned in the same new and unworn condition may result in a charge that is deducted from the refund, or risk being rejected altogether. This is up to our discretion.
If you wish to exchange your shoes for a different size or style, please return the item and place an order for the replacement. It helps to send us an email.
Cost of Return or Exchange
Due to international shipping, we do not refund shipping costs for returns or exchanges unless the product we sent you is faulty. If you suspect your product may have a defect, you must report it to us within 7 days of receiving your order via email, and the same terms and conditions as above still apply. Namely, the shoes must appear unused and unworn without any signs of wear, and it is entirely up to our discretion. But rest assured, if we deem your product to have a genuine fault, we will fully cover all costs of the return. We take pride in our work and our customer service.
For all RTW shoes, you may cancel your order for a full refund any time before the order is shipped. Once the shoes leave our workshop, you cannot apply for a cancellation. This does not apply for MTO shoes.
